Dane Stirrat

DESCRIPTION

Dane was born and raised in what he calls “the heart of South Africa” Cape Town. Starting the trumpet and drums in Grade 4 (age 10) Dane found his passion in life, this being music. He has studied music as an academic subject since grade 8 throughout high school, acquired his degree in Music from Stellenbosch University and has acquired his Higher Certificate in Sound Production from SAE Institute Cape Town.

Apart from his active lifestyle Dane seems to conduct dancefloors throughout South Africa with his innovative song selection, creative mixing, versatility with genres and involvement within the music he plays. Dane seems to have a very consistent positive vibe about himself, always maintaining his passionate persona and enthusiasm in the music he plays and the crowds of which he plays to.

“The energy I acquire when I am behind the decks is purely a interdependent motion. A mix between the music and the crowd rely on each other to create the energy I give off, it works hand in hand throughout a whole set, and each factor relies on each other to create this unique performance. I want the dancefloor to witness a unique experience everytime.”
